Youth CPR & Choking Relief
A Hands-On Lifesaving Class for Ages 10–15
Emergencies happen without warning, and knowing what to do can change everything. The Youth CPR & Choking Relief class gives young people ages 10 to 15 the skills and confidence to step up when someone around them needs help. Through guided, hands-on practice in an age-appropriate setting, students leave this class with real awareness they can carry for life.
More than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States every year, and over 70% of them happen at home. That means the person in need of help is often a family member or someone close. Research shows that bystander CPR can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival, and a 2025 study published by the American Heart Association found that survival odds for children increased by 91% when CPR was started within one minute of cardiac arrest. The people closest to the situation are often the most important link in the chain of survival, and that includes young people.
